LTD. was originally owned
by Ada Belle Davis of Tacoma, WA.
Ada Belle produced beautiful Porcelain bisque for 30 years for the Tole
Painting field.
Colorific Porcelain, purchased Decorative Porcelain LTD. in 2001. This
part of the
company is run by Melody Gullikson, the owner's daughter.
Colorific Porcelain manufactures
their own brand of porcelain, which has been in existence since 1950.
Porcelain is said to be the aristocrat of clay bodies, the refined of all clay types.
Characteristic properties of porcelain are:
extreme fineness
structure, hardness and toughness when fired, resistance to acids, is translucent, and
is completely
vitrified, (meaning it will hold liquids) when fired to maturity. The merging of these two
companies is perfect.
The porcelain produced by Decorative Porcelain Ltd., is fired to maturity,
and polished prior to shipping.
Decorative Porcelain LTD. has expanded their market to the China Painting and
Ceramics
field. We have added upon request, the following: Colored
porcelain, 06 low-fired pieces
(that can be shipped) to accommodate painters of
Victory Spanish Colors &
Glazed Bisque.
Green ware upon request, (for Studio pick-up only).
